"The notion of Directing a film is the invention of critics. The whole eloquence of cinema is acheived in the Editing Room"
- Walter Murch
Noxy's passion for television and all things creative began at The Durban University of Technology where she studied Television production and Broadcasting. She obtained her diploma in 2013 and wasted no time in pursuing her passion.
She relocated to Johannesburg a month after graduating and laid the foundation for her career with an internship at MNet, where she independently edited 4 Lokshin bisokop movies and one mini series for the popular Mzansi Magic channel.
The internship later turned into a job opportunity at BLQInc, a small production company that produced 50 local movies.
A year later, she joined Afrokaans, where she was responsible for editing the news inserts on the popular entertainment news show VEntertainment on DSTV's Vuzu. Her stay at Afrokaans offered the opportunity to not only edit, but content produce as well.
Noxy Mhlongo is now a professional Television Editor at MNet, the largest pay television broadcaster in Africa. Most recently, she has partnered up with The Eduvation Network, and is now responsible for the transformation and editing of the University of Johannesburg's Bachelor of Education degree into videos that make learning easier and fun for students.
She now aspires to produce her own content for social media platforms and is currently under a mentor process in the Screenwriting space, this after the success of her East Coast Radio podcast drama 'Dear Diary', which she co-produced, wrote and even voiced herself!
